Environmentally controlled bulk packaged wine storage
Total Wine Solutions site is 2.9466 hectares with 5,418 square metres of current warehouse facility. A further 2,000 square metres of the facility houses a bottling line and bulk wine storage tanks. The land capacity allows for the development of additional facilities such as a further bottling line and extra bulk and environmentally controlled wine storage as future needs dictate. The entire warehouse facility has been converted to insulated storage, of which 2,076 square metres of this has been further converted to temperature-controlled storage. This provides a total storage capacity of 7,000 pallets. Total Wine Solutions is marketing its bulk storage space at competitive rates in return for long-term storage commitments. Not only is this a prudent strategy to encourage high space occupancy, we consider a long-term partnership with the wine producers to be a key element of our strategy. Wine blending and bottling capacity
Total Wine Solutions has a dedicated static bottling line at Jandakot alongside our bulk wine storage facility. This allows wineries to ship wines in bulk tankers to Perth for bottling. The bulk wine is then transferred into receiver tanks, either for short-term holding or for subsequent blending. Once palletised, wines are either held in the bulk palletised storage facility, or dispatched For the winery the benefits are:
The bottling line provides wine producers variable bottling capabilities to enable choice and flexibility to perform a complete or partial bottling run. The bottling capacity is currently 3,000 bottles per hour, with plans to increase to 8,800 bottles per hour. The bottling line handles variable bottle sizes up to the 1.5L Magnums. The fixed nozzle-rinsing machine incorporates an internal bottle wash through means of sterilised water or gas, utilising simple or double treatment rinsing. Counter pressure filling reduces the risks of contamination and oxidation of wine, through the pre-evacuation of air within the bottle maintaining consistent filling levels. Prior to cork insertion a negative vacuum is drawn from the bottle to take out excess oxygen, guaranteeing cork depth and consistency. All cork styles are compatible including ROPP, Cork, and Synthetic cork stoppers. The capsule distribution system ensures accurate cap placement with a heat shrink system to shrink PVC caps to the bottleneck. Spinning turrets on the capsule dispenser ensure effective smoothing of metal-based capsules and Stelvins to the bottleneck. The labelling applications enable wines to feature labels front and back with allowances to include medal placements Off-site laboratory facility

HACCP is an internationally recognised means of assuring food safety from harvest to consumption. Recognised by "Codex Alimentarius" and other leading food safety agencies, HACCP has become the market standard for food safety world wide. Food manufacturers and private label retailers are insisting that their suppliers and co-packers implement HACCP in their own facilities. . |
